Fired Up!

We live in an era with way more access to information than our parents. The amount of documentaries out there delivering the no longer hidden or unspoken truths is outstanding. However, it can also become daunting. 

Some say ignorance is bliss. They don't want to look at all the monsters in the face because it weighs them down, it makes them feel hopeless and it little by little breaks and tires their hearts. But I say CHIN UP! The same as we live in an era with access to the ugly truth, it is also an era where so many people are awakening and standing in their true power. Let all these monsters fire you up in the right place and the right way!

I recently watched the documentary "13th", right after watching the movie "The Big Short" and a few days after a few documentaries about the war on drugs. I should feel heavy and tired. Big pharma colluding and hiding (or making illegal) the real medicines, banks leaving people homeless and getting away with it, building pipelines trampling over -once again- native Americans, Alec corporation, politically and legally acceptable racism; so many bad people getting away with horrible things in the name of power and money. It should make me want to scream, right?   

I'm not going to let it. I'm going to be better. Better than all these people. Maybe I can't make the global impact they do, but I will start with myself and hopefully inspire those around me to do the same. I will work on becoming fairer, on bringing and being a light and shining it on! I will work on equality, on giving people a chance, question things when they don't feel right, I will study my options so I stop funding their greed. And I will keep educating myself. Information is the real bliss, not ignorance. 

So yes, I'm allowing this get to me and fire me up, but in the right place and the right way! And it does make me want to scream. A barbaric yawp that is. ;)
